Complaints

Raise a complaint at any time through Support in the app, by phone on 0333 014 4084 or by post. We acknowledge it within 2 working days and reply in full within 14 days. If you're not happy with our answer you can go to the courts or an alternative dispute resolution service.

Safeguarding

Every cleaner passes safeguarding training for children and adults at risk, renewed yearly. Concerns are reported to our safeguarding lead straight away and, where needed, to the local authority or police. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

Vetting and checks

Identity, right to work, National Insurance number, five-year address history, DBS check, character reference and training, renewed every 12 months. We only ask for the DBS check level the law allows for the work. Safety and checks

Equality and fair treatment

We don't accept discrimination, harassment or abuse by clients or cleaners on any grounds, including race, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age. Accounts can be suspended when it happens.

Self-employment

Cleaners are independent traders: they set their own rates and hours, can decline any booking, have no minimum hours and may work elsewhere. They're responsible for their own tax; we report platform earnings to HMRC each year as the law requires.

Modern slavery

We check every cleaner's identity and right to work, pay cleaners directly into their own bank account, and act on any sign that someone is being controlled or exploited.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. Cleaners' identity and bank details for payouts are verified by Stripe.
