What you'll need

• To be 18 or over with the right to work in the UK.
• Photo ID and your National Insurance number.
• Your addresses for the last five years, with proof.
• A basic DBS check (you can apply on GOV.UK).
• One character reference (not a relative).
• A bank account for payouts.

Being self-employed

You're an independent trader, not an employee. Register with HMRC as self-employed and pay your own tax and National Insurance. By law, online platforms report what sellers earn to HMRC each year – we send you the same figures by 31 January.
