Independent, self-employed cleaners who live locally. Before anyone can take a booking we check their identity, right to work in the UK, National Insurance number, five years of addresses and a DBS check, take a character reference and make sure they have passed our safety and safeguarding training. Every check is renewed each year.

Each cleaner sets their own hourly rate, usually between £12 and £45 an hour. We add a booking fee of 10% (minimum £3). You see the full price before you pay, and you pay nothing if no cleaner accepts.

By card in the app. For bookings in the UK you can also pay by bank transfer, or pay your cleaner in cash on the day, where offered. Your receipt is emailed when the clean is done.

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the clean. With less notice, half the cleaning price is charged because your cleaner kept that time for you. Online bookings also have a 14-day cooling-off right.

Tell us in the app within 48 hours, with photos. We'll arrange a free re-clean of the areas that weren't right, or a fair refund. Your cleaner is only paid once you confirm the clean, or after 48 hours if you don't raise a problem.

Some do – it says on their profile. Otherwise please leave out the products and equipment you'd like them to use.

Every cleaner has a badge in the app with a QR code. Scan it with your phone camera to see, live, that they are a verified cleaner right now.

No. Maids2Clean is an online platform run by UK Instant Services Ltd. The cleaners are self-employed: they choose their own hours, rates and bookings. We check them, take payment safely and handle support and complaints.
